Orff

Carmina Burana

Two musical ensembles with a long history are celebrating some important anniversaries of theirs together. The Buda Franciscan Singing School, operating within Saint Angela School was founded 15 years ago, and the Saint Stephen Jubilee Symphonic Orchestra was revived 30 years ago by its founder, József Záborszky. The two groups began collaborating in 2023, when they took the stage together on Zoltán Kodály’s birthday for Psalmus Hungaricus. This next concert programme features Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana performed by the nearly 400 musicians of the orchestra and choir, along with opera singers Zsuzsanna Kapi, János Szerekován and Norbert Balázs.

The chief patron of the concert: Gergely Bogányi

Presented by: Buda Franciscan Singing School Foundation
