Traffic restrictions around Müpa, 11–13 September

The 2026 World Athletics Ultimate Championship will take place in Budapest between 1 and 13 September. Some of the related traffic restrictions will also affect the area around Müpa, so visitors arriving by car are advised to check the latest road closures before setting off.
During the event, the following sections of road will be closed on 11, 12 and 13 September 2026, between 3 pm and 11:59 pm:
Hajóállomás utca – between Komor Marcell utca and Kvassay Jenő út
Laczkovich utca – from Hajóállomás utca to Hajóállomás utca
Soroksári út – between Lechner Ödön fasor and Hajóállomás utca
Please note that throughout the closures, both Müpa’s underground garage and outdoor car park will remain fully accessible from Soroksári út. All vehicles heading to Müpa will be allowed through at the road closure point on Soroksári út.
During the closures, Müpa’s car parks cannot be accessed by car from Hajóállomás utca. Vehicles leaving Müpa’s underground garage will likewise be unable to continue towards Hajóállomás utca; all vehicles must exit and continue in the direction of Soroksári út.
