22 May 2026
The incomparable magic of the Metropolitan Opera returns to Müpa Budapest once again: timeless masterpieces, new productions and audience favourites cannot fail to dazzle.
The broadcasts are an unmissable opportunity to once more enjoy the New York opera house’s outstanding performances in HD quality on Müpa’s big screen. The new season opens with Mozart’s satirical Così fan tutte, after which we can look forward to exciting new premieres alongside Saint-Saëns’s Samson and Delilah, Massenet’s Manon and Verdi’s Otello. What is more, Macbeth will be brought to life in a modern adaptation, The Girl of the Golden West will feature star soprano Sondra Radvanovsky as Minnie for the first time, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Silent Night promises a powerful, elemental experience. Last but not least, the series concludes with Parsifal.
For the live broadcasts and repeat showings of the new season, Müpa+ membership programme platinum cardholders can buy tickets from 10 am on 6 May, gold members can make purchases from 10 am on 7 May, both for fixed prices of HUF 5,900 and HUF 7,900: the discounted rate can be applied to up to four tickets per screening. Silver and Basic level members, along with the general public, can purchase tickets from 3 pm on 27 May, at which point dynamic pricing will come into effect.
