This two part concert is a tribute to the great Hungarian singer Zsuzsa Cserháti who died five years ago. After exploding onto the scene at the 1972 television pop festival, she became one of the darlings of Hungarian light music, a true “star”. Her artistic career was divided into two great periods, the first lasted until the late eighties, the second after years of obscurity began in 1996 when she streaked like a comet through the night’s sky of Hungarian popular music. The programme comprise...s of her songs and the international hits that Zsuzsa liked to sing. They give a thematic selection by era of her work and will be sung by a host of Hungarian artists from Andrea Szulák to Vera Tóth and St. Martin. We’ll hear evergreen Cserháti songs, world hits, among them New York, New York, as well as songs that characterised Zsuzsa Cserháti’s comeback. The musicians will be accompanied by a seven member backing band. The concert is hosted by Armand Kautzky and also features the LORIGO TSE.
