Whenever Chick Corea returns to Müpa Budapest, he brings with him a new group for us to enjoy. On this occasion, the new is also the old with the arrival of a 21st century reincarnation of the Chick Corea Akoustic Band formed in the late 1980s. Some 30 years ago, electric and acoustic bassist John Patitucci and drummer Dave Weckl were considered discoveries of the legendary pianist and keyboardist, but today both have a distinguished body of work behind them and have influenced numerous others on their respective instruments. Corea himself will show that, even at the age of 77, he has ample capacity for renewal.
