International Jazz Day was initiated by UNESCO on 30 April 2011, and this is the fifth occasion that Müpa Budapest has taken part in the event. This time around, the Károly Gáspár Trio, who released their debut album in 2017, will perform a concert featuring the pianist's songs and unique musical compositions. Tamás Balogh and his quartet will also take to the stage, as well as Lightbulb, the second best band as selected by the jury of this year's Jazz Showcase.
