The first jazz fan of 2022 is a favourite of half the country. Everybody thinks of the actor Péter Scherer as a likeable character who is also popular as a leading actor in feature films, TV series and theatre productions. He says there is a less likeable side to him, which is hard to believe, but Erika Náray will not attempt to shed light on that either - she will be more interested in how someone first becomes an engineer and then an actor, and of course where his fascination with music and jazz comes from.

Although Péter Scherer is one of the most popular actors in Hungary, he is free from star pretensions. At the age of sixty, he says he is still the same guy from Lajka who sometimes rides a scooter. He was not accepted for theatre studies at first, so he became a civil engineer at the Technical University of Budapest, although he never worked a minute in the profession. He says, however, that, perhaps because of this detour, his way of thinking is characterised by pragmatism; he is also a frequent returning artist at the Szkéné Theatre. For a time, he was known as one of the Kapa-Pepe tandem, but it was worth it: the decade or so he spent with director Miklós Jancsó was a defining period for him. Then came films like Kontroll (Control), Argo, Magyar vándor (The Hungarian Strayer), followed by Presszó (Café), Válótársak (Divorce Mates), and Apatigris (Father Tiger), which is still running today - in which he can finally play an ordinary man. In addition to the love of the audience, he has received professional recognition: the Hungarian Film Critics' Award, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary, the Jászai Mari Award and the Karinthy Ring.

Audience members, who can take their seats at the Bohemian Event Venue from 6 pm, receive a welcome drink and can enjoy dinner before or after the concert.
