This is an exhibition of A3-size pictures created by Year 3 students at the Europe school in Wiesbaden after listening to and then discussing Haydn’s The Creation oratorio as part of a project led by the school’s music and art teachers. The children, aged 8 and 9 employed a variety of techniques, including water colours, wax crayons, collages and untreated leather. The pictures follow the chronology of events as sung in the oratorio, beginning with darkness, light, sky and stars, daylight and da...ytime, and followed by the creation of man and the animals. Each topic has several contrasting interpretations. Organizer: The Palace of Arts
