We would like, even during this extraordinary situation, for the Müpa Budapest audience to still be able to encounter the world's most outstanding and thrilling artists each evening - this time in their own homes. It is precisely for this reason that we will open Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall and auditoriums - each night at the familiar times - by providing access to a single unforgettable performance from past years.

The performance will be broadcasted on our website, Facebook-page and YouTube channel.

Spanning the fundamental milestones of human existence, this minimalist production combining circus arts with dance tells the story of the meeting of two people as they plunge the most intimate depths of the world of the imagination on a shared path across the fundamental milestones of human existence between birth and death.
Staged by artistic director Bence Vági and wordlessly using only the masterfully deployed expressive power of the body, the production seeks answers to questions like 'Where does life come from?', 'What position do the body and soul occupy, anyway?' and 'How can life be lived?' This two-person show featuring acrobat Renató Illés and dancer Gábor Zsíros spans boundaries between genres. A unique encounter between dance and circus, it is a core work of the new branch of the performing arts created by Vági: 'cirque danse'. The combination of dance and acrobatic elements, perfectly harmonised and precisely executed, introduces the viewer to a primaeval world where musical contrasts enhance the dramaturgy beyond the visual plane.
The piece is permeated with a sense of sacredness suggested by the dramaturgy, the visual spectacle and the music. Árpád Iványi's set makes the visual design simultaneosly revealing and modest, sometimes communicating things to the viewer all on its own. The piece's sound world becomes truly mystical through the mixture of passages from Bach organ masterpieces performed by László Fassang and electronic music.

The performance is recommended for those aged 12 and over.

The première was an event of the CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival.

This recording was made at the concert held at Müpa Budapest on 4 July 2019.
