Summer opening hours

We kindly inform our guests that that from 27 July until 9 August the building and the ticket office will be closed.

The Musical Instrument Store and the CD and Sheet Music Store will be closed from 6 July until 19 August. The Bookshop welcomes customers from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, on Mondays and and from 3 until 5 August will be closed as well.

Online ticket sales will of course be uninterrupted during the summer.

The Palace of Arts to be called Müpa Budapest starting from the 2015/16 season

The establishment, called The Palace of Arts since its March 2005 opening, will start the new season at the end of August under the new name of Müpa Budapest. To reflect this change in name, Müpa Budapest will also have a new logo from the 2015/16 season.

1 July opening hours

On 1 July, the Müpa building, the ticket office, the Musical Instrument Store and the Andrássy út ticket office will be closed. 

The CD and Sheet Music Store from 2 pm until 6 pm, the Bohemian Restaurant, the P’art Café, the Bookshop and the Ludwig Museum will be open as usual.

 

Online ticket sales will of course be uninterrupted on this day.

On 24 and 25 May the Palace of Arts, the Ludwig Museum, the Bookshop, the P’art Café, the Musical Instrument Store, the Bohemian Restaurant, the CD and Sheet Music Store and the Musical Instrument Store will be open as usual.

The Andrássy út, Allee, MOM and Mammut ticket offices will be closed.

Tickets (as well as e-tickets) are also available from 13 May 2015 for our 2015/2016 season!

Apart from season tickets, individual tickets for classical music concerts in the 2015/2016 season, as well as several concerts in other genres for the rest of 2015, are also available to the general public from 13 May 2015. 

Thanks to our improvements, instead of the previously emailed vouchers (which were used to print tickets in the venue), tickets for the next season, purchased on our website, are available in the form of e-tickets, which need to be printed at home and entitle you to enter the performance hall. This has been introduced for the convenience of our visitors.

Another Metropolitan broadcast replay

Every April, millions of opera fans buy their tickets for the next season of Live in HD broadcasts from New York’s Metropolitan Opera, which is a real favourite with global audiences.  Most of the seats, including the originally scheduled replays, were sold in the first few days at the Palace of Arts as well.

Grammy Award winning New York Voices will be performing with the Modern Art Orchestra at the Palace of Arts’ Jazz Spring Festival instead of Gregory Porter, after Porter’s management cancelled the 9 May concert.
