Featuring:

host Janka Barkóczi

Special guest:

Bence Kránicz

If anyone doubts the existence of the American dream, they should take a brief look at the life of Gábor Csupó. In the 1970s, he worked for a short time in the Pannónia Film Studio – including on The Mézga Family TV series – before making a brave move and finding himself as a phase animator for the American company Hanna-Barbera. Csupó soon founded his own studio, which would eventually help bring series such as The Simpsons and Rugrats to the world. Csupó’s immense life experience is evident throughout Immigrants (L.A. Dolce Vita), which is best watched laughing – at times – but also covering your eyes at other points, and often with plenty of empathy.
The film club’s specially invited guest is the film critic Bence Kránicz.

In Hungarian, without subtitles

The discussions before and after the screening will be conducted in Hungarian.
