Sugarloaf is one of the iconic groups of Hungarian pop music. All their songs go straight into the hit parade and several are regarded as among the finest Hungarian pop songs of all time. The band was formed in May 1995 and three years later, had their first video clip broadcast outside Hungary. In March 2000 they released their album Manga which was premièred at the Cannes MIDEM festival to massive acclaim. Songs from their 2003 album resided in the charts for months. During these years, they w...ere nominated for Viva Comet and Golden Giraffe awards and also won TV2’s pop music quiz Singers’ League. The British Placebo chose them as their guest group to play at their Budapest concert. Their latest record, Neon (2006) was a great professional hit. This album was the first to feature Heni Dér as vocalist who appeared in the final of the first Megastar competition. It is no easy task to summarise the work of the past twelve years, so besides Heni, Magdi Rúzsa (also from Voivodina), as well as Vera Tóth and Erős vs. Spigiboy plus the first two singers of Sugarloaf (for the first time for many years), Pepe and Era will also perform on stage. So, a unique concert from every angle.
