A few years ago the Helikon Publishing House came up with the idea of launching the Hangzó Helikon series, in which performers including Kaláka, Vilmos Gryllus, András Lovasi, Márta Sebestyén and Bea Palya put dozens of familiar or less well-known verses to music. A more ideal series couldn’t be imagined for Ferenc Sebő and his ensemble, whose name has become synonymous in recent decades with poetry set to music. It is thus not surprising that Sebő has already lent his name to several albums in ...the series, such as the music to the poetry of Attila József and Ervin Lázár. The ensemble has also recorded music set to the poems of László Nagy, which was one of the first albums in the series. The material from Hangzó Helikon albums can be heard from time to time in the Palace of Arts, such as the occasion in March last year when the Sebő Ensemble performed their album of Attila József poems to great success in the Festival Theatre. The evening dedicated to László Nagy also promises to be an unforgettable experience for lovers of sung poetry. Presented by the Palace of Arts
