Erik Marchand – vocals, Jacky Molard – violin, Costica Olan – taragot, Viorel Tajkuna – accordion Erik Marchand is a key figure in the Breton music tradition of Western France, where fifteen hundred years ago, Celtic people settled. His music is characterised by the same richness that stamps Breton singing, while the quartet is particularly notable because of the way the musicians combined Breton melodies with East European Gypsy music virtuosity. Besides Breton violinist Jack Molard, Romania...n Costica Olan and Serb Viorel Tajkuna also play in the formation, creating a bridge between two far removed worlds, a bridge that offers a true experience to all who cross it.
