During the course of the evening, the audience will get a taster of the diversity at the Béla Bartók Conservatory. The programme travels from classical genres to contemporary music and then to jazz. The performers appear in everything from small chamber groups to oratorio groups in varying formations. The chamber orchestra of the youngest students, conducted by Erika Petőfi will perform extracts from Handel’s Water Music while the concert wind band, directed by Zoltán Kiss will be playing Shost...akovich’s Suite No. 2 and lighter works. The concert will draw to a conclusion with a contemporary musical production by the mixed choir and symphony orchestra, led by Gábor Ugrin. They will perform György Orbán’s Stabat Mater with conductor Zoltán Bolyki.
