Arvo Pärt: Como cierva sedianta for solo soprano, female choir and orchestra is a setting of the 42-43 psalm: „As the... deer pants for water, I pant for you, O God!” The Vesperas is an evening prayer in the Catholic church, with the following liturgical segments: Psalms – Capitulum – Hymnus – Magnificat – preces – Oratio. Mozart composed two vespers, both being a genius fusion of the most diverse styles.
