The most important world music event of the year, WOMEX - the world music expo - will be orga-nized by Hangvető, who has contended with over 20 cities to become the local host of the prestig-ious event. WOMEX – comprising a trade fair, music festival, conference, thematic documentary festival and award ceremony – will be held in the most prominent cultural venues of Budapest.
During WOMEX nearly 3000 visitors from 90 countries will arrive for the events. The evening venue Müpa Budapest will host over 50 concerts on five different stages over three nights, when the most exciting performances by upcoming world music talents will be heard and seen.

The music of the world comes to you without you having to travel a mile.

The venue for the evening concerts of WOMEX 15, as well as Hangvető’s professional partner in organising the event will be Müpa Budapest. Only ticket-holders will be admitted to the concerts.
