On last year’s CD Dialogue, the Egri–Plútó Basses navigated a route under the banner of “world fusion” by assigning a major role to Latin, Indian and Roma influences in their music, and it is this direction which they will follow even more closely at the closing concert of the 2013 Jazz Showcase. Mitsoura, the guest joining them for the evening, is an icon of Roma world music in Hungary and will naturally prove a big help in this endeavour. Brand new songs will feature on a new album to be relea...sed to coincide with this year’s Jazz Showcase.
