At the concerts in question, he did not only conduct the orchestra, but he had explained his thoughts in connection with the works in an interesting, funny and attention-grabbing way just before the works were sounded. He convinced thousands that the so-called classical music is not something dreadfully serious, its enjoyment does not require professional musical knowledge, only a bit of attention – and it offers immense joy in return. The now traditional series of the Palace of Arts aims at achieving something similar.
