The English Philharmonia Orchestra are just as proud of their concerts with the former music director of La Scala Milan, Riccardo Muti as they are of earlier now legendary triumphs with the likes of Otto Klemperer, Herbert von Karajan, Wilhelm Furtwängler and Arturo Toscanini. Budapest audiences have already had occasion to marvel at the rich sonority of the Philharmonia Orchestra. Most recently, they visited the Palace of Arts in November 2005 with conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen as part of a Eu...ropean tour to mark their sixtieth anniversary, and entranced the Hungarian public. This time, their programme features some of the most popular works in the repertoire.
