He has worked with numerous distinguished soloists, conductors and orchestras, such as the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Arnold Schoenberg Chorus conducted by Erwin Ortner. Besides competitions and concerts, he has also gained recognition through his various CD and radio recordings of his improvisations, but also enjoys a close relationship with organ music from the turn of the 20th century. He regularly plays works by one of the leading Austrian composers of the age, Franz Schmidt, as well as those by one of the most original organ composers of the 20th century, Sigfrid Karg-Elert who lived and worked in Leipzig. The Ewald Brass Quintet who have several Artisjus prizes as well as the Liszt Prize, were formed at the Academy of Music in 1996 by five students there.
