Conductor: Gergely Kesselyák Soloist: Félix Lajkó – violin Mussorgsky: Night on the Bare Mountain Félix Lajkó: Violin Concerto – world première Rachmaninov: Symphony No. 1 in D minor, op. 13 Two musical worlds meet up in this concert at which we can get to know Félix Lajkó’s Violin Concerto which has been written specifically for this evening. The virtuosic violinist will be showing a new side to his talents, but his words at the start of his solo career remain true: “I would like to presen...t music to the audience which makes both them and me happy. At least for a few minutes as they hear it.” Before the Concerto, we shall hear the masterpiece by Modest Mussorgsky and will conclude with the rarely performed (and yet rhythmically interesting and melodic) Symphony No. 1 by Sergei Rachmaninov.
