Mozart: Symphony in C major, K. 338 Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466 Mass in C minor, K. 427 This concert presents works written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart within five years of each other. The Symphony in C major (K. 338) was composed in Salzburg in 1780. After the break, we will hear the Mass in C minor which dates from 1783 and was written in Vienna. The wor...k was deliberately left incomplete. Before the break, we will be treated to a performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor (K. 466) which was completed, according to the original manuscript, on February 10th 1785. This became the most popular piano concerto of his composer and it will be heard in Hungary for the very first time in a period instrument performance from the Orfeo Orchestra and the world famous forte piano artist Malcolm Bilson.
