Conductor: Stanisław Skrowaczewski Mozart: Symphony in C major, K. 338 Bruckner: Symphony No. 7 in E major Stanisław Skrowaczewski is now approaching eighty five and is highly esteemed as both conductor and composer. He made his conducting debut in his native Poland at the age of thirteen. He succeeded Antal Doráti in 1960 as music director of the Minnesota Orchestra where he remained for nineteen years, winning numerous prizes for his recording of all the symphonies of Anton Bruckner. Thus... it is a great honour for us that we now have the opportunity in Budapest to hear his interpretation of Bruckner’s (1824–1896) Symphony No. 7 which was completed in 1883, as well as the Symphony in C major written in 1780 by another great Austrian, Mozart.
