Haydn: Symphony in G minor (“The Hen”), Hob. I:83 Schubert: Symphony No. 5 in B flat major, D. 485 Mozart: Don Giovanni – overture, K. 527 Mozart: Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466 András Schiff was born in 1953 and was one of those legendary generations of Hungarian pianists launched by teacher Pál Kadosa. His performances are always major events anywhere in the world. He is the recipient of, among others, the International Prize for Classical Music for best pianist and a regular guest ...with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. After working together playing Bach and Bartók piano concertos in 1995 in both Budapest and Vienna, they collaborated in summer 1997 in Edinburgh and London and then in autumn 1998 at the New York Carnegie Hall; in the 2003–2004 season, András Schiff performed the entire Beethoven piano concertos, conducting the Festival Orchestra from the keyboard, in a concert series in Budapest.
