The BBC Philharmonic is one of Great Britain’s most distinguished orchestras and over its seventy years, has premiered many new works. Earlier conductors have included Neeme Järvi, Raymond Leppard, Charles Mackerras and Sir Georg Solti. Its current chief conductor is Gianandrea Noseda who was born in Milan and who took over the orchestra’s work in September 2002. He recently signed a contract extension until 2008. He has worked with almost all the world’s leading orchestras and he also establis...hed a reputation for himself as an opera conductor at the St Petersburg Marinsky Theatre, where he was the first foreign resident guest conductor. The Müpa Budapest underground garage gates will be operated by an automatic number plate recognition system.
