Beethoven: Coriolan Overture, op. 62 Beethoven: Piano Concerto no. 3 in C minor, op. 37 Mozart: Fantasy in C minor, K. 475 Mozart: Piano Concerto in C minor, K. 491 András Schiff gives us no reason for complaint: since he has been a world star, he has always found time to return to Hungray where he launched his career on the 1968 television talent show Ki mit tud? In recent months, he has been to Hungary less often which makes this concert more welcome than ever. It coincides with the day be...fore Mozart’s birthday. He and his friends, with whom he founded the orchestra in 1999, have concocted an interesting menu, the common denominator being the key of C minor, which with its disturbed and pathos ridden atmosphere – its moods and contrasts of feelings – has given the world numerous works on the borders between late classicism and romanticism.
