This is the third occasion that the Budapest Music Center and the Palace of Arts have jointly run the New Hungarian Musical Forum competition for composers. The key objective of the contest is to promote and support the creation of new pieces of Hungarian music. This year, the organisers wished to pay tribute to the work of György Ligeti on the 90th anniversary of his birth, so composers were expected to submit works that reflect his work or personality. The competition prize was provided by the... Hungarian Intellectual Property Office. Presented by: Budapest Music Center, Palace of Arts
