We wish to inform our dear guests that the Müpa Budapest building will not be open to visitors on 20 August 2021, or on 23-24 August. During this time, the box offices will also be closed and telephone and online customer services will not be available.

A Brief Pause in Ticket Sales

We would like to inform you that, during the summer period, we are conducting maintenance on our IT system and servers. As a result of this, online ticket sales will be temporarily suspended on the mupa.hu website between 26 and 28 July. Afterwards, starting from 29 July, ticket sales will resume via our website in the familiar manner.

Summer opening hours for the Müpa Budapest building and our box offices.

We would like to inform you that, with the end of the 2020/21 season, which has been extraordinary in every respect, Müpa Budapest will take a short summer break. The Müpa Budapest building and its on-site box office will be closed from 5 July to 8 August 2021. Our box office located at Andrássy út 15, however, will be open to ticket purchasers on weekdays during that period, between 10 am and 6 pm. Müpa Budapest is reopening: ticket sales has begun for the special programmes of the summer and 2021/22 season.

At last, the moment we've all been waiting for when the doors of Müpa Budapest open again and we can enjoy the unparalleled Müpa Budapest experience together again. On the occasion of the reopening for summer, we have lined up an exciting programme for June and July: We're welcoming the stunning Latvian opera diva Elīna Garanča, while there are also surprises in store for fans of contemporary circus and jazz.

Hey, June! - Pop concerts streamed live

Müpa Budapest's pop music festival to kick of the summer is a permanent fixture on the institution's calendar. Fortunately, the circumstances allow for it to go ahead once again. Even if the audience can't be there in person, from 4 to 7 June, they can follow the concerts by Mongooz and the Magnet, Middlemist Red, Zoli Beck (30Y) and Dóri Hegyi (OHNODY) as part of a special Hey, June! edition of Müpa Home Live.

Müpa Budapest is currently welcoming its audience to online concert broadcasts held in a virtual space

We would like to inform the public that Müpa Budapest is currently closed to protect the health of both guests and artists, and is not allowing any visitors to the building. Although we are very much looking forward to the day when we can meet at Müpa Budapest again in person, we are continuing to welcome guests with our concert broadcasts as part of the Müpa Home series on our online platforms, as well as the MTVA (Hungarian Television) channels.

A gift from Müpa Budapest as it turns 16: Our media library will be open from 13 to 15 March with new content.

Müpa Budapest is celebrating its 16th anniversary, so we have prepared a special surprise for our audience to mark the occasion. From 13 to 15 March, we are once again opening up Müpa Budapest's digital media library with all its treasures. Without registering, anyone will be able to take their pick from more than 100 HD-quality concert recordings and almost 50 literary evenings. This gives culture lovers the opportunity to form an exceptional virtual community of Müpa Budapest fans celebrating all over the world, travelling safely together through time and the imagination.
