Featuring: Ilona „Plexi” Csordás, Veronika Horoscsák, Edit Járma – vocals, Viktor Hárs – double bass, Mátyás Szeverényi – guitar “I was born in the city of Sümeg on April 10th 1953. From the age of three, I was very attracted to music and was helped by an Orion radio and a record player. I was four when my father took me to a blind cantor in Sümeg where I began to learn the rudiments of piano playing. From the seventies, I worked in the tourist industry, in mixed circumstances. In September 19...84, the Budapest Ragtime Band invited me to join them and that is when my true musical career began. We toured half the globe but in 1986 I had to leave the group. As a result of this I travelled abroad to work alone regularly, until 1992. Since then I have been trying my luck in Hungary. In the last ten years, I learned much about digital sound techniques and I was hugely inspired by the 1996 Ray Charles disc on which it said that Ray Charles did the mixing work himself. I have been blind since the age of ten. It doesn’t trouble me. The bittersweet sound of my harmonica makes me forget all my worries. This was my first record. This concert will be an evening of surprise: from Strauss to Ray Charles, anything can happen!” Ernő Weszely
