Can a story be brought to life in music? Can a painting be danced? How are the various branches of the arts connected, and how do the work together? It is to these questions that the MUS-E leaders of the workshops and the participating children seek answers through playful and creative musical and artistic activity. The purpose of the MUS-E (Musique-Europe) artistic educational initiative, launched by Yehudi Menuhin in 1993, is to provide children attending the activities with the kinds of impulses that make them more open to absorbing and interpreting the many diverse elements of the outside world.
The programme is recommended exclusively to those aged between 6 and 10 as the children participate in a number of interactive instrumental tasks appropriate to their ages during the sessions.
