Winner Found at Passion Short Film Contest

2014. October 22.

Palace of Arts’ Babel Nights short film contest with the theme Passion was won by Sándor Csoma’s film Ábel and Anna.

14 works were submitted to the contest. The winning director was awarded a HUF 100,000 prize and had his film screened by the Palace of Arts at the show called Babel Nights on 17 October, featuring the bands Quimby and Romengo, the Klára Pataky Company, and Krisztina Tóth. The panel of judges included film director György Czabán, producer György Durst, film director Virág Zomborácz, and Babel Night director László Marton Távolodó.

Babel Nights is a new series at the Palace of Arts. Each show in the series relies on the mutually reinforcing effects of different forms of artistic expression in the hope that this diversity of Babel will not result in a chaos of Babel. This merger of different branches of art brings together mainstream productions with those flourishing in subcultures. Covering a variety of themes, the series premiered with the theme Passion.
