Webcast, webcast, webcast

2012. January 10.

Müpa Live Webcast, one of the most popular online services by the Palace of Arts, is off to a busy start in 2012 with four broadcasts between January 10 and 15. Fans will be treated to concerts by the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra, the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as three evening performances within two concerts of the Jazz Showcase 2012 programme.

On the evening of January 10 the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra, conducted by György Vashegyi, will perform Bach pieces.
Two days later, the concert by the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Zoltán Kocsis, will be open to audiences at home, playing popular pieces by Shostakovich and Strauss.
Two more days and it’s the start of the jazz talent exchange, traditionally organised by the Palace of Arts at the beginning of the year, where afternoon concerts are followed by evening stage performances by the genre’s ‘top guns’. On January 13 the Jazz Showcase Polish day will feature the Marcin Wasilewski Trio, who were a great hit previously at the Sziget Festival, while a day later the favourite performer of the 2011 programme, 14-year-old drummer David Hodek and his group will play at the Festival Theatre.
