Ticket Sales for The Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD 2016/17

Tickets to Müpa Budapest’s 9th Met Live in HD season of live broadcasts and scheduled reruns went on sale for the Müpa+ Loyalty Programme’s Gold and Platinum level members at 10 am on 28 April, and at 10 am on 29 April 2016 for the general public.

The first performance will be on 8 October, with Sir Simon Rattle conducting Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde. Audiences will be treated to numerous outstanding vocalists during the ten performances of the season, with the stage of the iconic Opera House to be graced by Rolando Villazon and Simon Kennlyside in Don Giovanni, Plácido Domingo in the title role of Nabucco, belcanto princess Diana Damrau in Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet, Thomas Hampson in La Traviata, Matthew Polenzani in Idomeneo, Anna Netrebko and Dmitri Hvorostovsky in Eugene Onegin, and Renée Fleming in Der Rosenkavalier.

Tickets are priced at HUF 3,200 and HUF 4,500 each, and Müpa+ Loyalty Programme members can validate their membership grade discount for 4 tickets to each performance.
