International IAMA conference – in Hungary for the first time

2012. April 18.

For the first time in its history, the International Artist Managers' Association, the leading worldwide association for classical music artist managers, artistic agencies and concert agents will be holding its annual conference in Hungary. The conference will be held between 19-21 April 2012, and will be expected to be attended by the cream of the classical music world: hundreds of concert managers, heads of major artistic centres as well as artists.

The event will be hosted by the Palace of Arts and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra with a keynote address given by Zoltán Kocsis. The programmes of the conference titled “Effective Solutions in Hard Times” will be searching to find answers as to what strategies could ensure success during the global economic crisis to a performer industry that builds on quality culture. The event, however, will also attempt to showcase the highly diverse Hungarian musical culture.
