Chopin and Liszt – Preliminary with Tamás Érdi

2010. August 30.

Tamás Érdi is to commemorate immortal composers with a 200 years anniversary by a solo recital featuring popular works of Chopin (1810-1849) and Liszt (1811-1886) on September 21. The thematic programmes of the ongoing four-part series under the title LISZT AND THE PIANO WITH HUNGARIAN TELEKOM, structured along exciting topics and correlations, has been followed by the audience with great interest.

The relationship of the two composer giants, which cannot be termed a friendship but was based on mutual acknowledgement, has kept music historians busy until today. Their mutual influence on each other is undeniable, vibrating also in the pieces chosen by Tamás Érdi. The young pianist nominated for the Prima Primissima Award is to perform almost the complete programme of the evening concert sold out for months at 3 p.m. on September 21.
