Benefit concert to help flood victims

„We talk and help with music”
Concerto Budapest and the National Philharmonic with the support of Hungarian Telecom organise a benefit concert called „Hungarian Fantasy” to help flood victims on the 22nd of June in the Palace of Arts. The total revenue of this grandiose cultural event shall be given to flood victims thorough the Hungarian Red Cross.

The benefit concert called „Hungarian Fantasia” organised by Concerto Budapest and Hungarian Telecom will take place on Tuesday, the 22nd of June in the Palace of Arts with the participation of such prominent artists as András Keller, Zoltán Kocsis, Jenő Jandó, Tünde Szabóki, Bernadette Wiedemann, Tamás Juhász, Péter Kálmán and the „Muzsikás” Ensemble.
„When we saw the severe situation in the country and the many people forced to leave their homes because of the flood, we decided to help the way we can. We joined with the National Philharmonic and many renowned artists to create an opportunity for charity. We trust that this benefit concert will attract a great number of people who wish to help others by buying their tickets while also spending a pleasant evening with us. ” – said András Keller, General Music Director of Concerto Budapest.
The programme of the concert includes Liszt’s Hungarian Fantasy, Bartók’s Rumanian Folk Dances, Kodály’s Háry suite and Beethoven’s Symphony No 9. among other works.
Tickets for the concert are available at the box offices of Concert Budapest and the Palace of Arts. In addition the organisers wish to draw attention to the possibility of online booking both on the websites of the Palace of Arts and Concerto Budapest.
