In many ways, this is a unique concert at the Palace of Arts. On November 21st, leading musicians from Hungarian and international world music will come together in a line-up that has never been seen before. eMeRTon prize winning cimbalom artist Kálmán Balogh and the legendary Gipsy Cimbalom Band will team up with virtuoso violinist Félix Lajkó and the “child prodigy” Marko Marković, who plays solo trumpet with the Boban Marković Orchestra that performed in Kostourica’s films. It is not only the... artists, who are special but also their programme, which features music with a unique sonority thanks to their improvisational skills. The music is also innovative as a genre, combining Hungarian and Balkan folk music motifs as well as elements of Gypsy music. This promises to be a concert of the highest standard that will be bubbling over with the joy of spontaneous music making.
