Featuring: Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Strings of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra Károly Nyári is familiar for his virtuosic piano playing and characteristic singing voice. He graduated from the Conservatoire where he was a student of János Gonda and launched his solo career in Holland. After several years of performing abroad, he had racked up some towering successes in both concerts and festivals. In his performances, he blurs genres and draws on classical, jazz, pop and Latin mu...sic, always succeeding in enchanting his audience with this innovative style. This time he will give a concert with a large orchestral accompaniment, but the piano and his voice will of course still be in evidence. He brings back to life a legend, Frank Sinatra: we will hear over twenty unforgettable songs, among them My Way, New York, New York and I’ve Got You Under My Skin – in big-band arrangements and unique instrumental solos. He will also sing duets with his star guest Andrea Malek in their characteristically pure and direct style and high level of interpretation. The visual imagery of the evening and its dramatic construction will boost the effects of these wondrous songs.
