After all the preparations for Christmas, buying gifts, rushing around, we all need a bit of peace to prepare our souls for one of the most beautiful and intimate festivals. The Palace of Arts aims to make its contribution with groups singing a cappella: i.e. without instrumental accompaniment. Some very fine musicians will be singing tonight: the Four Fathers (who are just that, four good natured fathers!), five happy young men in the shape of Fool Moon and six rather more classical gentlemen ...with Unicum Laude. Although this last group does boast a counter-tenor, the Christmas sparkle for the evening is entrusted to female voices: the four member Austrian Velvet Voices. Combined they create the Christmas atmosphere. They are preparing feverishly to give their audience a gift in the shape of a cavalcade of styles and songs.
