Old Hungarian “chansons“ mainly from the 30’s and 40’s – the smoky atmosphere of the old Budapest bars and cafés. Budapest Bar is a musical meeting of generations and cultures. Róbert Farkas (of Romano Drom and Kistehén) invited some of the most well known singers and they were happy to say yes to this exciting collaboration. They have chosen old film hits, chansons, which were played in cafés, elegant bars in the old times. These songs are still well known in Hungary – people think of them as part of our common memory (The Budapest Bar Volume 1 album is published by EMI.)
