Bori Péterfy tends to explore the ‘alternative’ end of the spectrum. She was initially a member of the Arvisura and Béla Pintér Companies and then in 2000, joined the European famed Krétakör Theatre and the Krétakör Dance Music Band. During this time she began working as a singer with the Amorf Ördögök (“Amorphic Devils”). She could also be seen in several of András Szőke’s works and most recently in Ferenc Török’s film Eastern sugar. She has released three CDs with the Amorf Ördögök and is only... now releasing solo material which she will premiere at the Palace of Arts, accompanied by a small band drawn from the Devils. Also present will be the Honvéd Male Choir who have appeared with the Devils in concert before. Bori’s new album features songs by songwriter duo Ambrus Tövisházi and Szabolcs Tariska, as well as numbers by András Lovasi. Her debut album features both chansons and rock songs. Neither the CD nor the concert is likely to disappoint Devil fans but this event will also appeal to those who love the “wilder” side of Bori’s personality as an actress.
