Big Daddy Wilson – vocals, percussion, guitar, Ripoff Raskolnikov – vocals, guitar, Szabolcs Nagy – piano Big Daddy Wilson was born in North Carolina, grew up with gospel music and was once even tipped to have a great future as a heavy weight boxer. He is well known in Hungary and in recent years has been a regular guest at the top blues festivals. For the first time though, he will be in Hungary as part of a specially formed all-star trio. Born in Austria (and in Hungary, hardly less famous – ...according to him he’s on the same level as Bob Dylan and Tom Waits) Ripoff Raskolnikov will join Big Daddy to jointly present a programme which is largely built around their own compositions. No wonder if both think this is perhaps the most important project of their careers to date. But there is no denying it: this is quite some concert. One of the world’s greatest blues singers has got together with one of the greatest Central-European singer-songwriter-guitarists. Well known for his work with Muddy Shoes and the Hobo Blues Band, Hungary’s tops blues pianist Szabolcs Nagy has joined the crew and undertaken to show the meeting point between traditional blues, soul and gospel.
