Al-Andalus lute music, Cantigas de Santa Maria from the Alfony Bölcs collection, virtuosic Austrian, Czech and German medieval music, troubadour songs in their original Occitan language as well as Italian and French medieval dances Historical instrument specialist Róbert Mandel has created a series of four programmes which represent a new chapter for the Palace of Arts. After the series introducing the electrophone instruments last time, for 2010 he has created two programmes each in two vers...ions: for children and adults. With world famous guest artists and the finest Hungarian performers, he will present rarely heard medieval pieces as well as now partially forgotten instrumental marvels, bringing us some of the less well known melodies of the European Middle Ages.
