The performance progresses from East to West, presenting the most interesting pieces of our dance heritage from pagan era imitations of animals to pairs dances and the most virtuosic lad’s dances. The spoken commentary is lightly didactic in purpose and expands the performance with much interesting and valuable information. The choreography of Turning Points of Fate derives from four fatally crucial moments in the life of a musician. Birth turns unique through lullabies and children's sentences, Recruitment evokes one of the severest of “initiation rituals” for adulthood: war. Wedding is not only an ideal relationship between a couple but also introduces the partially successful relationships of our era - with bitter sweet humour. Heritages subtly takes the emphasis away from the moment of death to the period after it where we leave something of ourselves behind which is a kind of rebirth. The performance is also a moving tribute to four great fiddlers, Ferenc Berki Árus, Béla Kodoba, Sándor Sinka and Mihály Halmágyi, but these thoughts expressed in music and dance are valid for all human fates.
