In a joint performance of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre and the Czech South Bohemian Ballet, Hungarian audiences again have the chance to see one of the masterworks of the world-renowned Czech choreographer Jiří Kylián, entitled Un ballo. Set to two beautiful compositions by Ravel, the work is a real jewel in the crown of contemporary balletic art, and has been performed worldwide to great acclaim. In addition, the two troupes focus on a work by one of the outstanding young artists in Czech danc...e today, Václav Kuneš. Emerging from Jiří Kylián’s “workshop” and now working with his own company, the choreographer has achieved significant success with his works on both noted European stages and on the other side of the Atlantic. The audience may enjoy one of his most successful works here in an interpretation by the artists of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre and the South Bohemian Ballet. Besides these works by two of the leading figures on the Czech dance scene, the dancers of the two companies will also perform a new work by Attila Egerházi, the ballet director of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre who is also artistic director of the South Bohemian Ballet.
