Three works by three composers: Bartók, Ligeti and Eötvös. The imprints of three eras and three psychological states. Pieces of music from inside, intimate thoughts about the age in which they lived, with all the ideas, fears and hopes of the last hundred years encoded into. Not dates, not political analyses, but real history: that of people. A visual magic in which personalities multiply, inside and outside pictures, dreams about ourselves, tiny movements and enormous amounts of energy, steps s...lowed down and shadows falling behind: pictures about the centuries within them, about the centuries of neurosis, Narcissism and borderline syndrome. (These three clinical psychological pictures are considered the three determining phenomena of 20th century. All this is the work of three composers who left their "home" for different reasons but still carried it with them deep inside their soul. All this with the words of the poet, who portrayed the Hungarian nation, Hungarians' relationship with the partner, the country and god, and this specifically Hungarian system of relations in the most complex way: Endre Ady. Personality is determined by history. Today, the generation of people in their thirties and forties are unable to find their place in their everyday lives, relations and faith, just like their grandparents and parents were unable. Reasons are varied, but the imprint of the previous century is present in every soul. This is how this theatre night will become a dance night of quite actual, contemporary themes. It speaks about the method we treat the past, which does not appear on the pages of our history books, but in our everyday relationships, so that perhaps we do not even know why and what we hate, love, search for or desire and why we do it all this way. This is a journey into the historically determined soul, uncovering its secret layers. A program by the National Dance Theatre; a part of the ’Dance Forum No 7 – In Tribute to the International Dance Day’ program series.
