This joint evening hosted by the South Bohemian Ballet and Ballet Prague Junior is an opportunity for the Hungarian audience to discover Un ballo, one of world-famous Czech choreographer Jiří Kylián's finest works. The title can be interpreted as a traditional portrayal of a social event, or even in its literal sense as a dance piece inspired by two of Ravel's most beautiful musical works. Either way, this is a genuine highlight of contemporary ballet that is performed to great acclaim all over ...the world. Speaking of the second Ravel piece, choreographer Attila Egerházi said “Bolero is a grandiose musical tapestry that expands into space and time, gushing forth until it completely swallows the space. Ravel's suggestive musical influence prompts me to 'translate' into the language of dance the world he creates in me through everything I hear and feel.” Presented by: National Dance Theatre
