Zoltán Varga began his career as a dancer and choreographer with the Béla Bartók Dance Ensemble in 1964. In the half century that has elapsed since, he has achieved numerous successes both at home and internationally. His work as a choreographer was recognised by the main prize he won at the Miklós Rábai Choreographers' Competition of Hungarian Television, as well as shows including Dancing Hungarians (2000), Verbunkos (2002) and Heritage (2006). Besides his creative endeavours, he was an active... participant in the dance house (táncház) movement, and a founder of the High School of Folk Arts in Fót in 1993. He is currently artistic director of the Cédrus Dance Ensemble. His show entitled My Flower, My World presents a selection of his finest work of the past 50 years.
