The program consists of excerpts from programs of the Duna Art Ensemble, like Lajos Kossuth’ Message (2002), Ball of Traditions (2003), Rege Dance Concert (2004), European Dance Caravan (2005), Nomad Passion (2005), and Profana Bartók Bridges (2006), and also from the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble’s show entitled Dancing Hungarians. Here the Ensemble performed expressed entertaining and spectacular programs. Later, as the official folk dance ensemble of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, it began to employ more and more professional and increasingly artistic choreographies, through which it aimed to founding the clearest possible sources, and to present and adapt authentic folk dances from a new point of view. In recent years, dramatic works of dance theatre-pretence have gained increasing emphasis. These pieces are characterised by tradition preserving and artistic experimenting at the same time. The Ensemble celebrates the 50th anniversary of its existence with a jubilee series of events, which evoke significant choreographies and dance nights in the National Dance Theatre.
